COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Updated 12/01/2020. Thank you for your continued support and appreciation of your Co-op throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Our staff have been working hard throughout this crisis to serve you. We cannot praise or thank them enough. All staff working in-store currently receive $2.00/hour hazard pay.  We will maintain this extra pay incentive until it is no longer financially feasible to do so.

  • Regular Store Shopping Hours:
    • Monday thru Sunday: 8:30am-8:30pm
  • Priority Shopping hours:
    • For at-risk shoppers or senior shoppers, we suggest shopping early morning, late evening, or using our curbside program. https://www.maplecitymarket.coop/curbside-pick-up/

Masks Required: All customers must wear a mask or face covering while inside the store. We only make exceptions for small children. Face coverings must be worn properly: under the chin and over the nose. Mesh face masks or face shields, worn without a mask, are not acceptable. Paper masks are available at the front of the store.

Please do not enter the store if you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, including but not limited to fever, shortness of breath, or cough.

Six Foot Rule: Customers and employees are expected to maintain 6-foot distance from one another, even when wearing masks! Please respect this distance when interacting with other customers and with staff.

Limited Customer Capacity: We are allowing a maximum of 8 customers in the store at a time. When you see the STOP sign outside the front entrance, please wait for the next customer to exit. Please limit your shopping trips, fill your basket when you shop, and when possible, please limit your party to one shopper.

Cashier Protection Shields: We were the first grocery store in Goshen to install plexiglass barriers at our register lanes. This provides an extra layer of precaution for our cashiers and customers, as we are unable to provide 6-foot distance at check out.

Store Sanitizing: We are regularly sanitizing shopping carts, door handles, bulk bins, our register lanes, and other touch points throughout the store. Hand sanitizer is available near the front of the store for customer use.

Bulk Section: Much of our Bulk Foods that were sold out of scoop bins are now being repacked into containers for sale.  Rubber gloves are available for use in the bulk foods area.

Holds / Special Orders / Returns
We are unable to put items on hold. We will accept returns on a case-by-case basis.

Hot Deli Soups available 10am-6pm Mon-Fri
We are offering full-service hot deli soups on weekdays. Ring the bell at the deli counter for service. More selction is available in our cold case.

Dining Area Closed: Our dining area will remain closed until further notice.

Cash vs. Cards: We will continue to accept cash for customers for whom cash is the only option. All card transactions are being run as touchless transactions.
