Exciting Changes Coming to Maple City Market
Dear Maple City Market Owner-Members and Shoppers,
We have exciting news to share! Our co-op is about to embark on a significant upgrade project that will greatly improve your shopping experience. We are replacing three major pieces of refrigeration equipment, some of which have been in service since the 1980s! This upgrade is a key investment that not only enhances our store’s efficiency but also aligns with our commitment to using your dollars wisely to improve our community-owned market.
Here’s what’s coming:
– A new 20-foot produce case to keep your favorite fruits and vegetables fresh and easily accessible.
– An 8-door refrigerated case that will provide more space for a wider selection of chilled goods.
– A 5-door frozen case that will allow for greater variety in frozen products, making it easier to shop and store your essentials.
These new cases will complement the frozen meat case we installed last year and will provide a more dependable shopping experience, with more room for local and specialty products.
What to Expect:
The project is expected to take 3-4 days to complete from start to finish, and while we’re excited for the final result, we want to be transparent about the temporary disruptions this may cause. Inventory reduction sales will be available leading up to the installation to help clear space, and while we do our best to minimize the impact, there will likely be some shopping disruptions during the installation, tentatively planned for the week of October 14th at the earliest.
Looking Ahead:
After the refrigeration upgrade, we’ll be tackling another exciting project – a roof replacement! This is scheduled to begin in late October or early November. These improvements reflect our commitment to making Maple City Market the best place to shop for healthy, local, and sustainable food, all while supporting our co-op community.
