The 2026 Maple City Market Board Election starts next week. This year, both candidates are incumbents, and the election will serve as an affirmation vote as part of our governance process.

Members-Owners can cast their votes in-store or in person at the Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 28, from 6–8 PM.

Save the date and join us for the Annual Meeting—we’ll celebrate another wonderful year of the co-op with food, a bouncy house, and music for all to enjoy!

About the Candidates

Why I Love Maple City Market

Jama Yoder

Jama has been a part of the Goshen community for many years, and a longtime member-owner. She enjoys serving on the Board of Directors, where her leadership skills and area connections help strengthen food sustainability for our community.

“The comforting smell, the friendly smiles, the delicious food—these are the reasons why I love coming into Maple City Market. I love discovering what the deli has prepared for lunch each day and chatting with the team about new products they are excited about. Whether I am stocking up for a meal that I am hosting or grabbing a bite for lunch during a busy day, I know that the co-op has my back and I will be well fed.

Shopping at Maple City Market is a rejuvenating experience—my voice is heard, my body is nourished, and a team of people is working every day to make the community I love a better place.”

Why I Love Maple City Market

Malinda Berry

Malinda grew up in a member-owner family and bought her own membership in her 20s, so the co-op has long been part of her life. She has served on the Board of Directors for several years and is grateful to help support the co-op’s continued growth and impact.

“Maple City Market is my bodega. I rely on it for bulk staples and everyday groceries, but what I love most is stopping in on my way home from work to grab snacks for movie night, easy supper starters, a gluten-free cake mix for my kids, or even tree-free TP—all from a store I co-own with my community.

The co-op principle of cooperation among cooperatives really resonates with me, especially as we continue growing and building relationships with local vendors. I’ve also loved seeing our annual member meetings become a vibrant, can’t-miss community event—it creates moments where connection deepens and member engagement truly comes to life.”
